Carrington, Mapperley Park, & Sherwood Area Guide

Sherwood, Carrington & Mapperley Park, are situated north of the City of Nottingham, and with strong local amenities and easy access into the city, they are increasingly popular areas to live with thriving local communities.

For those new to the area, heading away from the city on Mansfield Road, Carrington is the area just past the Goose Fair roundabout. Mapperley Park is situated to the right of island sandwiched between Mansfield Road & Woodborough Road. Sherwood Rise is to the left of the Goose Fair Island and is loosely the area between Hucknall Road and Sherwood Rise (it’s a road name). Where Carrington ends & Sherwood Rise starts is open to debate! As you continue straight ahead along Mansfield Road, Carrington merges into Sherwood at the brow of the hill. Again, there is debate as to where Carrington ends, and Sherwood begins.
