Property Licensing in Nottingham
Nottingham has a plethora of landlord licensing schemes. (there are only a handful of areas in the city that don’t now require one license or other) In August 2018 Nottingham City Council brought in their Selective Licensing Scheme. The scheme covers over 90% of the greater Nottingham area and requires a privately rented property to be licensed at a cost of £780. In late 2019, it was announced that the cost of the Selective Licence scheme was increasing to £890, and in 2023 the scheme is set to be replaced by a new scheme for a further five years.
