With the current almost citywide Selective Licensing Scheme due to end in August 2023, Nottingham City Council have this week launched a consultation on what they are calling a ‘New’ scheme from August 2023.
The ‘New’ scheme looks pretty similar to the old one, but a few areas have been trimmed from the map, and fees have changed a little. Unaccredited landlords are proposed to be charged a slightly lower £820 (down from the current £890) whilst accredited landlords will see fees drop to £630.
An additional level of ‘Less Compliant’ properties will see fees increased to £1110.

As in 2018, Granger & Oaks will be keeping clients fully briefed on developments with the scheme and we are already campaigning for better timing with the roll-out of applications so this doesn’t again clash with the peak of the summer season.
